The luxury cottages of Fraser, Grant and Chisholm are quietly nestled into the natural lie of the land, over looking the forest and burn, but not each other. They are very private and benefit from this peaceful, unpolluted, beautiful setting at the top of Glen Urquhart, just enough away from the busy tourist routes for you to escape, but within easy reach of the rest of the Highlands of Scotland to make this a really perfect central base. You will not be disturbed by sirens or awakened by car alarms here. Built in the traditional croft style with the most modern comforts of home, and much more! We are proud winners if the 2007 Thistle Awards for customer care and you will definitely feel the WOW factor!
Millness Croft is a small working croft, with Highland cows, sheep and chickens. Imagine the Highlands of Scotland...wild, unspoilt, majestic, peaceful and beautiful...we are all of this, and much more! The land is a variety of pasture, moor land and mountain with a burn (a wee river) running right through it, including our very own water falls, and surrounded by forest on two sides. The burn is shallow enough in places to paddle and fish with nets, particularly in the area running along the bottom of the cottage gardens. It then flows into our wee private lochan, where you are welcome to fish for salmon and trout. You are encouraged to walk around the croft and explore the waterfalls, lochan and moor land alike. Look out for wild deer, eagles, buzzards, pine martens, and a whole host of other inhabitants that reside here alongside us. Wellies and boots are always recommended around here out of summer, or if you wish to explore off the beaten track!
