Glen Strathfarrar is one of the Highlands' best-kept secrets boasting spectacular scenery of mountains, lochs and river as well as superb wildlife. Our Self Catering Accommodation is offered in either our traditional stone built estate cottage or in one of four well-appointed Norwegian wooden chalets. All the accommodation is surrounded by a large, well-kept grassy area in a partially wooded setting to ensure privacy. The chalets also have pretty hanging baskets and well-stocked bird feeders to attract the varied birdlife.
Perfect for families (you can even bring your dog free of charge!); there is plenty to keep you and your family busy during your holiday. Numerous outdoor activities are on offer in the area from cycling, climbing, hill walking, fishing and golf to name but a few. Glen Strathfarrar, with its 15-mile private road, has much to offer either the first-time visitor or those returning again and again. Red deer abound and can be seen in the wild or in the deer farm.
Situated on Culligran Estate, Culligran Cottages are easily accessible only half a mile beyond the Glen Strathfarrar Gate and whilst staying in any of them you have the use of a gate key. On the estate itself you can enjoy Trout and Salmon Fishing in season on the Rivers Farrar and Glass, cycle with on site Bike Hire, or visit our Deer Farm. We are also a perfect base for exploring Glen Affric, Beauly, Loch Ness, Inverness and the rest of the Highlands.
