Gask House is a converted 19th century mill and steading, situated in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland at Inveranie by Farr, just a fifteen minute drive from Inverness City Centre. The house is home to the owners whilst the remainder of the steading has been converted into high quality, well equipped self-catering holiday accommodation. The three, semi detached cottages – Clava, Corrimony and Tordarroch - are set around a pretty courtyard garden. Gask House Farm is home to Highland cows, sheep, hens and ducks. Within the grounds is the Gask Cairn and impressive standing stone. The Cottages are all named after similar Clava type cairns of which Gask is one.
All the properties offer linen, towels, electric ceramic hob, electric oven, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board, microwave, dishwasher, washer dryer, fridge and freezer, TV with Freesat, DVD, free WiFi, iPod docking station/radio, hairdryer, clothes dryer. Highchair and cot available on request. Outside each property is a dedicated terrace area with seating.
Clava and Corrimony are on a single level from the car park area and therefore are more suitable for any less mobile visitors. Tordarroch is a duplex studio with downstairs kitchen/diner with spiral staircase leading to a double bedroom, lounge area and separate bath and shower room. Tordarroch is available for short breaks with a minimum two night stay.
We are ideally situated for golfing, walking, winter sport breaks not to mention the chance to see Loch Ness, castles, distilleries and enjoy all the cuture of the Highlands. Only fifteen minutes to Castle Stuart, 35 mins to Nairn Championship course and one hour to Royal Dornoch.
Meat products from our very own herd of Highland cows and Cheviot lambs are available for purchase. Eggs free to residents! On arrival you will find coffee, tea, porridge, jam, butter, bread, milk to help you settle in.
Fancy a break from cooking during your stay then we can help. A variety of dishes, some using our own produce, can be prepared for you to heat and serve in your cottage. Celebration cakes a speciality! Please contact Jill about your requirements before or during your stay.
