Self Catering Lodges near Loch Ness

The Glenurquhart Lodges are set in a secluded wooded hillside in a 6 acre estate with scenic views of Loch Meikle and Glen Urquhart. Here you will find some of the most spectacular Scottish scenery. The area has many attractions for the visitor with the village of Drumnadrochit only 4 miles away where you will find Loch Ness exhibitions, shops and galleries and Loch Ness cruises. The Great Glen Way is also nearby.

The cedar wood lodges are fully furnished and sleep 6 comfortably with 1 double room, 1 twin room and 1 room with bunk beds. A cot and high chair are available for hire. There is a lounge area with hi fi, television and video or DVD, dining area and well equipped kitchen. The inventory includes such items as full sized cooker, fridge, washer / dryer, microwave, toaster and coffee maker, pots and pans, crockery and tableware. Towels and bed linen are provided. Well behaved pets are accepted in 2 of our lodges. Outside your lodge you will find a garden area with table and benches, a barbecue can be hired from the hotel where lodge guests are most welcome in the bar and restaurant.

Opposite the lodges you will find the Glenurquhart forest and mountain bike trails. About 5 miles to the west is Cannich which leads to the Glen Affric National Nature Reserve where there are lovely walks through ancient Caledonian pinewoods and across open moorland which provide the opportunity to enjoy all sorts of wildlife and unspoilt splendour. Also close by at Corrimony are Chambered Cairns and an RSPB bird reserve. We are ideally situated for exploring the Highlands of Scotland; day trips might include visits to the Isle of Skye, a trip to the Highland capital of Inverness or a boat trip to spot Dolphins on the Moray Firth.
