Event: Glen Affric Walking Festival
Starting on: 27/05/2011 Ends on: 31/05/2011
8th Glen Affric Walking Festival - Outta Affric
Details for 2011 TBC
Set amidst arguably the most beautiful Glen in Scotland, Outta Affric will see walkers journeying around, up and down a total of nine Munros and one Graham.
During the festival, we re-visit some old friends on classic Affric walks, whilst adding new twists to established routes. We will even introduce you to new walks on Munros not yet visited as part of the Festival.
In the coming years we aim to make Outta Affric a carbon neutral event. We ask you to help us in this quest. Not only can you join us on one of the new Outta Affric green events, but you can also agree to contribute to our carbon neutral scheme.
Why not join your guides during the evening for talks, slide shows and welcome drinks. We look forward to welcoming you to Outta Affric, so see you in May.
Based within the area of one of Scotland’s most beautiful glens our professional & expert guides will take our walkers to the high tops or along rivers, lochs and forests in order to provide real interest to all levels of walkers before retiring for an honest drink and chat in one of our local hostelries.
For more information please visit the website for the programme and booking forms, or contact Gina Francis on 01456 415379 or email escape@naturalhighguiding.co.uk
Graded easy to moderate to strenuous, all walks will be led by experts from Forestry Commission Scotland, Trees For Life and by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. Complementary information packs and a social evening featuring live Scottish music will also form part of a package that will cater for body and soul.
