‘Arnold Clark Thistle Snowman Rally - 2011’ DATES AWAITING CONFIRMATION

The Snowman Rally is the traditional opening for the Scottish Rally Championship.

First run in 1955 the rally date is usually sometime in February, hence its name, as it can often have snow covered stages.

The Snowman is one of the Highlands biggest single day events attracting around 20,000 spectators every year. Classic Stages associated with the Rally in recent years are Rogie, Scotsburn, Tarlogie, Millbuie, Glen Urquhart, Inch Clair, Meall Mhor, & Carbisdale.

Notable winners of the rally are Andrew Cowan(1967) Roger Clark(1973) Pentii Airikkala (1976). The most successful driver in the Snowman's history is Donald Heggie who has won the event 5 times
