Inverness Half Marathon and Fun Run.
This is an annual Half Marathon and Fun Run which takes place in the Capital City of the Scottish Highlands, Inverness. The Race Date will take place at 1pm on Sunday 14th March 2010.
The route for the race, must be one of the most beautiful and most scenic for any Half Marathon, running alongside the meandering River Ness and below Inverness Castle before continuing along towards the famous Loch Ness.

Please note - some roads will lose during this event:
Several roads and streets will be closed temporarily for the Inverness Half Marathon and Fun Run.
The event takes place on Sunday, March 14.
The following routes will be affected: From 11am to 3pm Castle Road will be closed to northbound traffic only between its junction with Haugh Road and Bridge Street. Southbound traffic will run as normal.
The B862 Fort Augustus to Inverness Road via Dores will be closed to northbound traffic at its junction with the Holm Road roundabout to its junction with the Ness Bank and Cavell Gardens Road from 11am to 3pm.
Southbound traffic will run as normal.
Bught Drive will be closed to all traffic at its junction with Torvean Avenue to the conjunction with Bught Avenue between 1.15pm and 3.30pm.
Bught Avenue will be closed to westbound traffic at its conjunction with Bught Drive to its junction with Bught Road between 1.15pm and 3.30pm.
Eastbound traffic will flow as normal.
Bught Lane will be closed to westbound traffic at the junction with Bught Avenue to the nearby roundabout from 1.15pm to 3.30pm.
Eastbound traffic will not be affected.
Bught Road will be closed to all eastbound traffic from the access to Whin Park to its junction with Bught Avenue from 1.15pm to 3.30pm.
Westbound traffic will flow as normal.
Bught Road will also be closed to all traffic at its junction with Bught Avenue to its conjunction with Ness Walk Upper from 12.30pm to 3.30pm and Ness Walk Upper will also be closed from this point to its junction with Bishop’s Road for the same period of time.
Alternative routes will be available and clearly sign-posted.
Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained throughout the event.
