ROCKNESS 2013

RockNess this year it promises to be bigger and better than ever.  JUNE 8th, 9th and 10th at Dores Loch Ness.  

RockNess music festival takes place close to the Loch Ness village of Dores, a small village at the northern end of Loch Ness 8 miles from Inverness in the Highlands of Scotland. There are no shops at all in Dores so if you are planning to go to RockNess you need to bring with you everything you will require for your stay or get it from within the Rockness event perimeter. It’s best if you are arriving in Inverness by public transport you can stock up on food and drink before leaving Inverness for RockNess. Camping and Car Parking - If you are driving to RockNess  you can approach the festival from a number of directions but make sure you get into the correct gate when arriving. Rock Ness enables festival goers to park and camp directly beside the Arena. Campsites will open at 10am on the Friday. The car parking at RockNess is almost all on grass so be prepared for it to be a bit slippery if it rains, but you shouldn’t have any problem in this respect. A word of warning though, tempting as it is to sleep in your car, this is strictly forbidden so come prepared to camp or buy a camping ticket. Parking charge at Rockness is £5 a day so if you arrive on Friday you will be charged £15  Saturday £10 and Sunday arrival £5

Where to Stay - For local accommodation you should check our accommodation pages as there are only a couple of Bed and Breakfast establishments in Dores and they will almost certainly be full for the concert dates, but there are other options
