Operating in a sustainable way which minimises the impact on the environment is today very much part of any good business. As a criteria of membership, Destination Loch Ness ask all businesses to commit to the principles of Green Tourism. However, many of our members do much more and are graded under the Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS).
GTBS is the leading sustainable tourism certification scheme in the UK. Businesses who join are rigourously assessed under specific criteria and then graded accordingly at Gold, Silver or Bronze levels.
Around Loch Ness 16 members of Destination Loch Ness are presently graded, of which 7 have achieved the highest standard, Gold. And, in 2007, Evergreen B&B was singled out as one of the top four GTBS 'Best Performers' in Scotland.
