Aigas is a privately run 9 hole parkland course renowned for being challenging for experienced golfers but also forgiving for less experienced players. It has stunning views in all directions, is well manicured and the wide undulating fairways and large greens are popular features of this course.
Our unforgettable signature 6th hole, the 'Gorge' (par 4) is next to the river Beauly. A good tee shot here is essential to avoid a splash in either the pond or river. A dogleg fairway follows the river towards a long and narrow green situated on the riverbank beside the breathtaking Aigas gorge. The first tee is only a few minutes walk from Aigas holiday cottages. There is a small golf club at Aigas allowing the visitor to have a game here at almost any time. Booking is advisable at weekends and for larger groups (01463 782942).
Within an hour's drive of Aigas another 25 courses can be enjoyed including Royal Dornoch, Nairn and Castle Stuart making www.aigas-holidays.co.uk a great base for golfers. Golf clubs and trolleys are available for hire. We also have one golf car available for anyone unable to walk the course. Coffee shop with local tourist information available (April-October). Aigas Cottage Guests can enjoy golf (50% discount off green fees), fishing, hill walking, bird and wildlife watching on the doorstep.
