Painting Classes & Holidays

Have a memorable holiday experience, doing something creative. Even if you have never painted or drawn before Ros can help you produce something worthwhile and have a lot of fun doing it! Take home your own hand painted cards or ready to frame picture. Great fun for a family or small group on holiday. Priced from £10 per person in small group. Individual sessions too. Ros specializes in teaching watercolour, but also teaches drawing, oils and acrylics. Painting sessions tailored to suit! All materials provided. Regular painting classes also held from February- November, bookable in advance in blocks of 6, from £50-£75. Painting Holidays can also be arranged with or without accommodation.

The Highland Art Studio is a cosy wooden building beside the croft house, Edinuanagan, Torness, 10 minutes drive from Dores, 25 minutes from Inverness, and 40 minutes from Fort Augustus. The croft is situated in beautiful countryside and the Studio has wonderful views across open countryside to the hills surrounding Loch Ruthven. Ros takes painters out on location, including taking small groups to Dores beach for "paint Loch Ness Sessions" and to other stunning local viewpoints.

The Studio is light and airy and is well equipped for a variety of art work. The Studio takes a maximum of 8 people at a time. Washroom facilities and full disabled facilities are across at the house. Ros has experience with people with illnesses and disabilities and specializes in running exciting dynamic painting workshops and courses for all abilities from absolute beginners to experienced painters. The outside space, patio and decking areas and ponds beside the house are often used during lessons and art courses. Light lunch, tea and coffee included in day courses.
